For the fourth consecutive year I am involved in the Relay for Life.
This will be a very poignant year for my team.
James Batty who was a team member (and a good friend) for the past 3 years, and was (ironically) diagnosed with Cancer just weeks after the last Relay for Life event. Tragically, he did not survive to make it to this year’s event in March.
To be perfectly frank, this scares the crap out of me. James was just 30 years old and quite fit, and the fact that he succumbed to this disease in a matter of months, has me worried about what could happen to me or any of my friends.
As I said our team is fundraising for this cause again this year, but with an added emphasis due to James’ tradgedy. You can find out more from our team website.
